Pokémon LeafGreen

Pokémon LeafGreen is a remake of the original Pokémon Green, bringing the beloved Kanto region back with enhanced graphics, smoother mechanics, and modern features. Alongside Pokémon FireRed, it offers the classic Pokémon journey with quality-of-life improvements, new areas, and expanded post-game content.

You play as a Pokémon Trainer traveling across Kanto, capturing Pokémon, battling Gym Leaders, taking down Team Rocket, and aiming to become the Pokémon Champion.

How to Play Pokémon LeafGreen

Choose Your Starter Pokémon

At the beginning of your journey in Pallet Town, Professor Oak lets you choose one of three starters:

  • Bulbasaur (Grass/Poison) – Strong early-game advantage
  • Charmander (Fire) – High damage, tougher early stages
  • Squirtle (Water) – Balanced and defensive

Catch and Train Pokémon

Explore routes, caves, and water areas to encounter wild Pokémon. Weaken them in battle, catch them using Poké Balls, and train your team to level up, evolve, and learn powerful moves.

Defeat Gym Leaders

Kanto features 8 Gym Leaders, each focused on a specific Pokémon type. Winning Gym Badges unlocks progress and lets you control higher-level Pokémon.

Stop Team Rocket

Team Rocket is causing chaos across Kanto. Battle their grunts, infiltrate their bases, and defeat their leaders to put an end to their plans.

Pokémon League Challenge

After collecting all Gym Badges, face the Elite Four and the Champion to prove your strength and skill as a Trainer.

Sevii Islands

LeafGreen introduces the Sevii Islands, offering new quests, rare Pokémon, and expanded storylines not found in the original games.
