Razer Launches Its First Customizable Barebones Keyboard: BlackWidow V4 75%

Razer has unveiled its first-ever barebones keyboard, the BlackWidow V4 75%, marking a new chapter in the brand’s keyboard innovation journey. Designed for DIY builders and keyboard enthusiasts, this release brings customization to the forefront without compromising on performance or quality.

The BlackWidow V4 75% Barebones comes in a compact 75% layout and is available in Black and White. It offers a solid base for users to create their dream keyboard by adding their own mechanical switches and keycaps. Every part of the chassis is crafted for a premium typing experience, including dual-layer dampening foam, lubricated stabilizers, an FR4 plate, and a pre-applied tape mod for softer sound.

Performance is a key feature of this keyboard. With Razer’s 8000 Hz HyperPolling technology, users get ultra-fast response times for smooth gameplay. The keyboard also supports per-key RGB lighting and underglow effects powered by Razer Chroma RGB. It synchronizes with over 300 games and applications for a more immersive lighting setup.

For customization, users can purchase Razer’s Gen-3 Mechanical Switches separately. These include Green for a clicky feel, Yellow for linear action, and Orange for tactile feedback. The Phantom Keycap Upgrade Set, available in both colors, enhances the overall appearance and lighting effects of the keyboard.

The launch of the BlackWidow V4 75% Barebones signals Razer’s commitment to serving the growing community of custom keyboard builders. It gives users full control over their setup while maintaining the reliability and sleek design Razer is known for.
